Wencon cold steel repair of HFO tank

After inspection on board and making up a repairplan we received the order to repair two crack's in HFO daily tank without" HOT WORK".
We will prepare in our workshop two steel plate's which we will install on board.

The two plate's will installed with Wencon Hi-Temp coating.

More information will come after the repair.

After the repairs we will make a new repairplan, that we can install new insulation on the tanks. This insulation is not Rockwoll with steel sheeting.

On board of a vessel we made a repair on a steam pipe with Wencon Hi-Temp.

After this repairs we made new pipe's in our workshop. After we installed the new pipe's on board we made a test in workshop with the repaired part of the steampipe.

We made the following pressure test: 10 bar, 20 bar, 30 bar, 40 bar and final 50 bar.
After the 50 bar we stopped with testing.

With this test results we can say, without any hot work " WE TAKE CARE OF YOUR REPAIR"

Pipe repairs with Hi-Temp from Wencon

On board of a container vessel we repaired the thermic oil pipe with the following products. After inspection and  making of a repairplan, we started in the pipeduct. First we removed all insulation from the pipe and cleaned the pipe with cleaner for a clean proper surface. The first layer is the yellow Hi-Temp coating which we clear out on the pipe, after this went installed the bandage on the pipe. After the first layer we clear out the second green layer the third yellow layer and the fourth green layer. These four layers have to dry for approx 12 hrs to have good hardness to operate....

Fabrication of 12 stiffeners of each 650 mm heigh, 11 mtr length and 20 mm thick. All welds according class a=10 mm.

27-12-2011 we started with installation on board of the vessel which is laybay in the Waalhaven what we arranged for our client.

This work must be ready before 31-12-2011. After installation all welds must me checked with MPI.

damaged hatchcover wheel

Last Saterday evening we received a phone that the hatchcover wheel was damaged on a container vessel.

Within 1 1/2 hrs we had a repair team on board, after inspection we made a repair plan and discussed this plan with the superintendent of the vessel.

We removed the bearingbox on the wheel and we saw that the bearing was broken.
With an hydraulic jack we pressed the hatchcover up, that the wheel was loose from the rail.
On the hatch cover we fabricated an hoisting beam and we removed the wheel from the hatch cover.
